AGE DIVISIONS AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
AGE DIVISIONS
The Jr. Miss Tennessee Galaxy Pageant is part of the Galaxy International Pageant® It is a traditional beauty pageant for young girls of all nations between the ages of 6 and 14.
Little Miss Tennessee Galaxy®AGES 6-8
Delegate must be at least 6 and no older than 8 as of that year’s Little Miss Galaxy® International Pageant (July 2020). Delegates participating in preliminary pageants leading to the Junior Miss Galaxy® International Pageant may be 5 years of age provided that they reach their 6th birthday prior to the start date of the International Pageant event.
Miss Pre-Teen Tennessee Galaxy® AGES 9-11
Delegate must be at least 9 and no older than 11 as of that year’s Miss Pre-Teen Galaxy® International Pageant (July 2020). Delegates participating in preliminary pageants leading to the Junior Miss Galaxy® International Pageant may be 8 years of age provided that they reach their 9th birthday prior to the start date of the International Pageant event.
Junior Miss Tennessee Galaxy®AGES 12-14
Delegate must be at least 12 and no older than 14 as of that year’s Junior Miss Galaxy® International Pageant (July 2020). Delegates participating in preliminary pageants leading to the Junior Miss Galaxy® International Pageant may be 11 years of age provided that they reach their 12th birthday prior to the start date of the Miss Teen Galaxy® International Pageant event.
Miss Teen Tennessee Galaxy® AGES 15-18
Must be single and never married as of the start date of the pageant event. Must not have ever given birth to a child. This applies to participation in any preliminary pageant (e.g., local, state, provincial, national) leading to the Miss Teen Galaxy® Pageant event as well as the international pageant itself.
Must be at least 15 and no older than 18 as of that year’s Miss Teen Galaxy® International Pageant (July 2020). Delegates participating in preliminary pageants leading to the Miss Teen Galaxy® International Pageant may be 14 years of age provided that they reach their 15th birthday prior to the start date of the Miss Teen Galaxy® International Pageant event.
Teens must also not become married before the international pageant and have no plans of marriage within one year after the international pageant.
Miss Tennessee Galaxy® AGES 19-27
Must be unmarried (e.g., single, divorced, widowed, single mom) as of the start date of the pageant event. This applies to participation in any preliminary pageant (e.g., local, state, provincial, national) leading to the Miss Galaxy® International Pageant events as well as the International Pageant itself July 2020.
Must be at least 19 years of age as of the start date of the Miss Galaxy® Pageant event. Delegates participating in preliminary pageants leading to the Miss Galaxy® International Pageant may be 18 years of age, provided that they reach their 19th birthday prior to the start date of the Miss Galaxy® International Pageant event.
Ms. Tennessee Galaxy® AGES 28 & OVER
Delegate may be 27 years of age, providing they turn 28 by December 31st following the International Pageant of that same year. Meaning, if you are to compete at nationals in July of this year, you must turn 28 before the end of this year.
Must be single (e.g., unmarried, divorced, widowed, single mom) as of the start date of the pageant event. This applies to participation in any preliminary pageant (e.g., local, state, provincial, national) leading to the Ms. Galaxy® Pageant event as well as the International Pageant itself.
Ms. must also not become married before the International Pageant and have no plans of marriage within one year after the International Pageant.
Mrs. applicants cannot choose to enter this division simply because of age.
Mrs. Tennessee Galaxy® AGES 21 & UP
Must be legally married to a naturally-born genetic male as of the start date of the pageant event. This applies to participation in any preliminary pageant (e.g., local, state, provincial, national) leading to the Mrs. Galaxy® Pageant as well as the international pageant itself July 2020.
Must be married BEFORE applying for a Mrs. title or competing at a state prelim.
Must be at least 20 years of age as of the start date of the Mrs Galaxy® Pageant event. Delegates participating in preliminary pageants leading to the Miss Galaxy® International Pageant may be 20 years of age, provided that they reach their 21st birthday prior to the start date of the Mrs Galaxy® International Pageant event.
AREAS OF COMPETITION FOR ALL AGES
The competition will consist of five equally-weighted categories: Photogenic (20%), Interview (20%), Swimsuit (20%), Fashion (20%) and Evening Gown (20%). The highest composite scores will determine the finalists. Bonus points (see below) will be added to the composite score, already earned, to determine the runners-up and winners.
